Purchasing

Pan Afric Coffee Division purchases coffee from farmers from all the coffee growing regions in Uganda insisting on good quality coffee and offering the best prices on the market. Our suppliers have continuously taken benefit from the competitive prices that we offer.

Processing and grading

We use the modern state of the art machines and equipment to process raw coffee bought from the farmers paying attention to the quality requirements of the market. This processed coffee is then graded into Screen 18, 15, 12, BHP 1299, 1190, and 1099. Special care is taken to ensure that the proper moisture levels in the processed coffee are maintained.

Export

Pan Afric is one the biggest exporters of coffee in Uganda. We export processed coffee to Europe, Asia, Sudan and South America. We have over the years received several awards in recognition of our commitment to production of quality coffee.

Other services

Pan Afric carries out farmers/ suppliers sensitization program in which we teach the farmers and traders on the best commodity practices in the coffee market. Farmers and dealers are given information on when to harvest coffee, how to dry it and how to store to ensure that the quality of the product is not compromised.

We also process food commodities such as beans and maize grains for our clients as and when we have contracts for supply of the same. We have a different set of machines for these commodities. We also process, dry, de-stone these commodities on behalf of other persons that may require such service.

2. The ‘Golden Europe Award for Quality’ granted by The Trade Leaders Club under the auspices of The International Europe Award For Quality – New Millennium Award.
3. ‘The International Quality Crown Award- Gold Category’ awarded by Business Initiative Directions (BID).
4. Received recognition from the Uganda Coffee Trade Federation as The Best Exporter of Coffee 2002 of the Presidential Best Exporter of the Year Achievement Award (PBEYAA).
