We have an agency purchase network in coffee growing parts of Uganda, a modern laboratory with state-of the art equipment considered to be among the best in Uganda in terms of retention with consistent quality.
Our coffee is got from both suppliers and farmers and we ensure that we get the best.
We get the already dried coffee cherries from allover Uganda, through our collection centres to the factory. We make sure that the coffee cherries are properly dried. We do that under the sun, which takes us between 10 days and 2 weeks. It is then hand sorted to remove foreign matter and to grade it according to size and quality. We then polish the coffee beans to remove an unwanted byproduct called chaff and store it in fiber sacks to ensure freshness.
The sorted and polished coffee is then weighed and quality checked by independent quality surveyors when necessary, before it is shipped. |
