Pan Afric Impex (U) Ltd is one of the leading companies in coffee processing & exporting and truck transportation in Uganda. We have invested immense resources on state-of-the-art equipment to promote their coffee buying, processing and exporting business enterprise.
Uganda as a country contributes a lot internationally as a coffee producer and has done so for a long time. There are two main types of coffee grown in Uganda, i.e.; Robusta on a large scale of 80-85% and Arabica on a small scale of 15-20% and this is due to the geographical nature of the country.
The variety of Wild Robusta Coffee still growing today in Uganda's rain forests are thought to be some of the rarest examples of naturally occurring coffee trees anywhere in the world. The coffee trees are intercropped with traditional food crops and grown in the shade of banana trees and other shade trees. In these self-sustaining conditions, coffee is left to grow naturally, flowering on average twice a year.
We currently purchases unprocessed coffee from farmers and cooperatives throughout Uganda and is presently the largest purchaser of coffee in the country. A big percentage of farmers in Uganda depend on coffee growing and coffee is one of the highest income generators of Uganda as a country. |
